To be the pension service of choice for the higher education sector for the long-term
Responsible for a specified range of HR data administrative activity under supervision and direction and in accordance with USS’ GDPR project.
Carry out a review of all HR hard and soft documentation and ensure these are in line with GDPR.
Re-index personal data documentation so there is a clear understanding of what personal data is held by HR.
With support from the HR team and Information Security team, set up a clearly documented data retention process to manage and store data in line with GDPR guidelines.
Where data is being kept outside of the relevant data retention period, ensure this is securely deleted/ destroyed or anonymised (where the data needs to be retained for future use).
In conjunction with the HR team, review and re-index general HR documentation so there is a clear and accurate HR documentation inventory.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working in a similar role and/or data administration.
Diligent - understands the relevant rules and regulations, adapting to new ones, and ensuring that procedures are followed accurately.
Actively manages own workload to ensure that regulatory, departmental and team targets are met.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Understands the importance of, and maintains, a high level of confidentiality.
Good problem solving and analytic ability.
